# mqtcommunitygardens
> The Marquette Community Gardens (MCG) aims to cultivate a healthier community by enabling organic food growth, providing education, and sharing produce with those in need. The site offers two garden locations within Marquette City, with beds available for rent to city residents from May 1 to October 25. MCG strongly promotes organic gardening practices, prohibits chemical pesticides, and requires member participation in garden maintenance. Established in 2003, the organization has grown to offer 75 beds and includes spaces for food pantries and children's groups. Interested individuals can contact the MCG via email for membership information and to join the waiting list.
